Update log - July 2026 “Time to schedule”

Hope you are all having a nice summer. While we haven't been bombarding the site with massive updates these past few months, we have been working on things in the background. Just to keep you all somewhat updated and ensured, that we are still actively working on the platform - here is a brief update and check-in. Minor improvements Every now and then we have pushed new and small updates to the platform. Just today, we finally got around to implementing the time & day scheduling to the game posts. So if you have a game post running, be sure to edit it and add the days you are planning on running the game, and at what time the session would be starting. Players looking for games will be also able to filter the groups based on those parameters. Do keep in mind that since the feature is new, almost all of the games listed at the moment are still without a preferred day and time - so they will not be shown to you when you use the filter. But as time goes on and games update their listing, more and more will have those elements. Additionally a few updates were added to the game post creation process - nothing gamebreaking or -changing. Just some convenience factors. .gg We have officially shifted to a new primary web address (although you are free to keep using whichever domain ending you have before - nothing should be negatively affected. But Groupfinder can now be also accessed via groupfinder.gg Even though the platform is global - having the .eu ending seemed to cause more confusion than we had anticipated. But this is more of a cosmetic change - nothing in our core values or goals has changed as a part of this shift. Library evergrowing The library is rapidly growing - every week new entries are added. Some thanks to the help of a few volunteers, to whom we are extremely grateful. It is becoming a proper tabletop gaming resource now. But it will never be complete - we are seeing new tabletop projects and creators pop up all the time - and we would love to be a gateway between them and you. Group Manager This is the biggest element we have been working on since the start of the year (and even before). While not ready to go live - we are anticipating that the day is drawing ever closer by every week and testing cycle. Group manager will be a parallel mode to Groupfinder - a system to manage your.. well.. group. Keep track of timefinder polls to schedule the next session. Share files with your players - or make them private, so that only you can see them - or only some of the players. This will make it easier to keep track of various notes, lore and character backstories. Or just share gifs.. Also a viable approach. But until we have anything more substantial to report - I will be signing off for now. But will keep a watchful and helpful eye on the platform. And if you have a friend or a group that could benefit from using Groupfinder - be sure to tell them about the site - it will be a win-win situation. The more people know about Groupfinder, the faster your games get filled - and the faster you find a group to join. Till next time.

Between Two Fires

This is a trial session using the Cypher System and a setting of my own writing in the space opera/combat genre. We have one spot available, although if there's interest I'm happy to run a separate group. The session will run from 6pm UK Time for around 4 hours to see if the ruleset and setting are a good fit. It will use pregen characters So far, we have 5 out of 6 spots, but if there's enough interest for a second group I'm happy to oblige. This is a trial session, no experience is needed. Just bring yourself (Discord) and a willingness to have (sometimes not organised) fun! The first trial session is for Tuesday 18 August 2026, starting at 6pm UK time on my discord.

AMERICA HAS FALLEN. THE WASTES AWAIT. The year is 2024. The world ended in a matter of weeks. First came the undead pouring out of Eastern Europe. Then came Operation PEACE—a brutal, systemic plot by global powers to betray, enslave, and exterminate the world's demi-human population. As the military turned on its own demi-human soldiers, lines folded, and America crumbled. On July 4th, 2023, Washington, D.C. was reduced to rubble. Now, in the zombie-infested marshlands of Atlantasia County, Louisiana, the survivors fight for what's left. Which side will you choose? THE FACTIONS The Peacekeepers: A brutal right-wing military junta claiming to be the true heirs to the U.S. They enforce a regime of hatred, killing or enslaving all demi-humans on sight. The NAA (New American Union): A fragile wartime coalition of rebels, centrists, and anarchists fighting a total war for freedom against the Peacekeepers. Peacekeeper Reformists: A heavily armed splinter group that rejects the bigotry, believing America can only be reborn through the unification of all survivors—by diplomacy or dominion. Aculon: An authoritarian coastal empire that believes the American identity is dead and buried, aiming to build something entirely new. The Raiders: Lawless, selfish bands plundering the wastes. BRUTAL SOULS-LIKE SURVIVAL Actions have permanent consequences here. We feature a high-stakes death mechanic: 1st Death: A freebie. A narrow escape, a heavy scar, and a lesson learned. 2nd Death: PERMADEATH. If you fall again, your character is gone for good. Choose your battles wisely. WHAT WE OFFER Complete Character Freedom: Play as a human survivor or any type of anthro demi-human you can imagine. Fair & Balanced Gameplay: To keep things fair for everyone, demi-human status is purely cosmetic and roleplay-focused—there are no mechanical buffs. Active, Dedicated GMs: Our team is constantly brewing up new enemies, fresh narrative storylines, and custom equipment/loot to discover. Combat to Cozy: Balance brutal zombie survival and political war with deep slice-of-life roleplay. Build up your camp, form bonds, start romances, and find moments of peace amidst the chaos. Text-Based RP & Sessions: A welcoming text-RP community with organized homebrew TTRPG mechanics. MATURE CONTENT WARNING (18+) This is a STRICTLY 18+ SERVER. Because of the dark, gritty nature of the wasteland, our roleplay features heavy, mature themes. This includes violence, gore, dark lore, and erotic subjects/sexual content (ERP). Age-gating/verification may apply upon entry. Interested in surviving the wastes? Jo

Hello, I'm a bit of an experienced Player as I have a bit over 1 year of experience in dnd as both a DM and a Player, I'm available on a weekly manner as I would love to find a regular gaming group I prefer playing either martial classes or halfcasters. I prefer games which have a healthy balance between roleplay and combat.

The Legends of Arithea

Homebrew Homebrew
Roleplay focused Roleplay focused
Hello and welcome to the world of Arithea! Arithea is a world where gods walk among the people, magic is everywhere, and the stars are alive with knowledge of the past. The year is 3999 AR, just before the elder gods return to the mortal plane for the thousand year festival. It should be a time for celebration, but something dark is brewing. There’s whispers about a dangerous magic that turns people mad and tensions growing in the south of the realm. Not that those whispers concern you, of course. After all, you’ve found yourself in the kingdom of Eridia, a place known for its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. Regardless of how or why you came here, you’re here now, and you have received a mysterious letter signed by the head of the Queen’s guard requesting your help. This is where our story begins. ——————————————————— I’m a 21 year old experienced player (but new dm) that has created an entirely home brew world to run this game in. My big inspirations are Percy Jackson, Studio Ghibli, Genshin Impact, and the podcast Malevolent, though that one doesn’t translate as well as the others since my world isn’t horror. I’m a big fan of whimsy and the rule of cool, so if you’ve got a wacky character idea, this might just be the place for you! I really want to go into depth about your backstory and make you care about not only your character, but the group as a whole. This will be a very rp focused game, with very little but meaningful combat. I plan for it to be mostly serious in terms of tone, but I am also not going to shy away from the occasional ridiculous side quest or silly bit. I will warn you now that I can’t really do voices and accents for the life of me, but I’m going to try my best. I don’t know exactly when this game will start because it will depend on how quickly I find players, but I’m hoping for late August or September. I plan for this to be a very long term game, so please only apply if you’re going to be in it for the long haul. We will be starting with every other week, but we may switch to every week once I get a hang of prepping for/running sessions. ——————————————————— Ground rules: 18+ only. Please be safe on the internet you guys. No AI in any form. No bigotry of any kind. We will be using d&d 5e 2014 rules. I’m also open to homebrew stuff, but you have to ask me first. New players are 100% welcome! You don’t need to have any experience at all with anything d&d, all I ask is that you show up and try your best. I’m totally willing to help you figure it out! I am a new DM. This is the first game I am running ever. There will inevitably be hiccups and mistakes but such is life. If you’re looking for a super polished game, this probably isn’t the one for you, but I have hope that we’ll still have fun, everyone starts somewhere and I’m excited to start here! If everything above sounds good to you, then please fill out the form I made and I will message you with more information if I think you’d be a good fit! Mothership (2018)

TTRPG
English
Rules-light
Mothership is an action-packed mixture of sci-fi and horror themes, combined into a streamlined gaming system about surviving in the cold, deadly vacuum of space while everything around you is trying to kill you. All at the same time as you are fighting (or fleeing from) alien creatures who aren't there to make any new friends. Chaos. It was published by Tuesday Knight Games and released in 2024.  It is a survival horror system designed for one-shots and campaigns, inspired by classics like Alien, Event Horizon, and Pandorum. Famous for its streamlined ruleset and award-winning graphic design that prioritizes ease of use at the table. The game, at the same time simplistic and streamlined in design, will challenge the characters at all times, allowing the game to focus on the storytelling and less on having complicated rules. The system it is inspired by is Old School Renaissance Description In Mothership, players take on the roles of blue collar workers in space, such as Teamsters, Scientists, Androids, and Marines. You are not powerful or heroic soldiers; you are vulnerable humans trapped in high pressure environments with alien monsters, failing life support systems and the crushing weight of corporate greed. The game is designed to be fast-paced and unforgiving, where the primary goal is not to win, but often enough - to survive. System Overview & Key Features d100 Percentile Resolution In the core of the game system is the d100 percentile system. Roll two d10 dice and get a number from 00 to 99. Success means rolling a lower result than your character's appropriate stat or skill for the task. Rolling a double, like 11, 22, or 33, is considered a critical success if it succeeds or a critical failure if it fails. Rolling low is the target for survival. Stress and Panic As characters encounter horrors or suffer trauma, they accumulate Stress. When a character experiences a terrifying event or rolls a critical failure they must make a Panic Check. The more Stress they have, the more likely they are to suffer a catastrophic mental breakdown, ranging from a heart attack to a violent psychotic break. The Save System Instead of a long list of saving throws, characters have four primary Saves: Sanity, Fear, Body, and Armor. These are used to resist different types of potential trauma. Fear saves are rolled to keep your cool under pressure, while Sanity saves represent your ability to process alien truths without losing your mind (think lovecraftian horrors). Class Based Skills The game features four distinct classes. Marines are obviously combat focused, Teamsters are pilots and laborers, Scientists are experts in medicine and biology, and Androids are cold calculating, yet efficient machines. Each class has it's unique starting stats and specific triggers for when they gain or lose Stress, which is based on their personality. Lethal Combat and Healing Combat is extremely dangerous and often a last resort. Weapons are likely to deal potentially excessive damage when compared to a character's total healthpool. Healing will be slow and require resources that are hard to come by in the middle of the constant crisis, making every injury feel like a significant threat to the character's chances of making it out alive. Deadly Ship-to-Ship Combat The game includes a streamlined system for starship encounters. Ships have their own stats and modules that are likely to be damaged during a fight. Players must work together to manage various roles and stations, like Engineering or Piloting, to keep the ship's hull from breaching while under fire or fleeing from cosmic anomalies. Obsidian is a free, locally-stored Markdown note-taking application that the TTRPG community has widely adopted as a campaign wiki, session planner, and lore database. Originally designed as a personal knowledge management tool, it stores everything as plain text files on your own machine with no subscription required. Description Unlike purpose-built platforms such as World Anvil, Obsidian was not designed with TTRPGs in mind, which means it arrives without templates, stat block support, or any TTRPG-specific structure out of the box. GMs who want those features need to install and configure community plugins themselves, which carries a steeper setup cost than dedicated alternatives. For those comfortable with that process, however, the result is a highly customizable system with no ongoing fees and no vendor lock-in. A thriving plugin ecosystem has filled most of the gaps, and the tool has become a genuine alternative to subscription-based worldbuilding platforms for technically comfortable Game Masters. The plugin ecosystem extends well beyond what is listed here, with community tools covering everything from database-style note querying and cross-device sync to interactive maps and combat automation. A full directory is available at community plugins.
